What is a Coursepack?

A Coursepack is a custome collection of cases and labs created for a specific course. Educators or Coursepack administrators select multiple cases and labs to build a Coursepack that supports their teaching objectives. Students then enroll and access all required learning materials in one convenient place.

For HKU members and ACRC partners, designated Payment Administrators oversee publishing approvals and handle billing.

How Coursepacks work

The lifecycle of a Coursepack depends on its payment mode. The flowchart below outlines the process for the three payment workflows: Institutional Pay Later, Institution Pay, and Student Pay.

As an administrator, you can build and manage Coursepacks on behalf of educators. The typical workflow is as follows:

  • Build & Publish: Create the Coursepack and publish it directly (or submit it to a Payment Administrator for approval, depending on your permissions).
  • Share the Link: Distribute the Coursepack enrollment link to students.
  • Students Enroll: Students use the link to enroll in the Coursepack.
  • Settle Payment: The final order is settled based on the institution’s chosen payment model:
    • Institution Pay: The institution pays upfront when the Coursepack is published.
    • Student Pay: Students pay to unlock access to the materials.
    • Institutional Pay Later: Teach first, and the institution pays later (after enrollment is finalized).
