Ltd.)﹐是香港寶潔有限公司(Proctor and Gamble)的本港地區特約經銷商﹐信生於1998年推行資訊科技改進供應鏈管理和運營效率的計劃﹐以精簡公司銷售和履行的運作。為了進一步提高公司的運營﹐信生於2002年替其供應鏈管理系統升級﹐好處包括減少人力和重複的工作、提高訂單處理及存貨紀錄的準確性、增加存貨運營的效率、縮短訂貨的時間、提高顧客的滿意度和促進企業增長。信生曾於1998年和2002年嘗試替其訂單處理系統升級但糟受挫敗。但它沒有因而氣餒。它決定從失敗的經驗中汲取教訓﹐從而為其於2002年所推出的新系統的成功鋪路。此案例的目的是要說明中小型企業(中小企)如何將其供應效率轉為其競爭優勢﹐以及數據質量對達到此目的的重要性。此案例可用作探討令資訊科技改進供應鏈管理系統成功的關鍵因素、中小企在經濟低迷時期的典型反應、以及改進中小企競爭力及盈利的可行方法。
