Learning Objective: |
This case aims to help students understand the key issues facing potential entrepreneurs, particularly in Hong Kong and other Asian countries. One primary objective of this case is to illustrate the gap between planning a business and the actual execution, and the case allows students to develop an appreciation of real entrepreneurs, regardless of whether they failed or succeeded. Second, students will learn how to make a reasonable decision regarding their career choices via concepts such as ˇ§opportunity costˇ¨. Another objective is to expose students to the uncertainty associated with starting a business in light of the local financial, economic and social environment. Lastly, this case will open a debate on what is social enterprise and develop a balanced view on social enterprise. |
